Division President – Land Acquisition & Homebuilding

Melbourne, FL | Full-Time | Onsite (5 days/week)

Our client, a well-capitalized, Florida-based residential homebuilding platform backed by a 90+ year privately held parent organization , is seeking a Division President to lead land acquisition strategy and long-term homebuilding growth.

This is a newly created executive leadership role with full ownership of land acquisition and market expansion, followed by operational oversight of residential homebuilding as new communities are brought online.

The first several years of this role will be heavily land acquisition–focused , making it ideal for a senior leader who has personally sourced, entitled, and acquired land and is comfortable owning the cradle-to-grave development process .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all land acquisition strategy and execution aligned with the 5-Year Strategic & Profit Plan

• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and secure raw land, entitled land, development lots, and finished lots

• Source new land opportunities near Melbourne and in adjacent Florida growth markets

• Present acquisition opportunities and long-range plans to executive leadership and board stakeholders

• Partner with senior real estate leadership on entitlements, development, and community integration

• Develop and execute annual business plans and long-term growth strategies

• Drive a high-performance, customer-focused culture with a white-glove commitment to on-time home delivery

• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements

Ideal Background

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in residential homebuilding and land acquisition

• Proven track record taking projects from entitlements through development-ready and finished lots

• Experience expanding into new markets and building communities from the ground up

• Strong financial, analytical, and negotiation skills

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

• Florida General Contractor or Real Estate License strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Target Compensation: ~$335,000 (flexible based on experience)
