About the Position: We are seeking a highly skilled and factory-certified Thermo King Reefer Technician to join our Medley, Florida team. This role is responsible for high-level diagnostics, complex repairs, and preventative maintenance on refrigeration units. The ideal candidate is a technical expert in refrigerant systems and diesel engine components, capable of working independently to solve common and complex fault codes. Key Responsibilities Advanced Diagnostics: Perform comprehensive diagnostics on starting and charging systems, cooling systems, and electrical components, including the interpretation of common fault codes. Complex Repairs: Execute leak detection procedures, compressor replacements, and evaporator/condenser swaps. Perform precision tasks such as soldering refrigerant lines and replacing front and rear main engine seals. System Maintenance: Conduct routine repair and maintenance on reefer units strictly in accordance with manufacturer specifications to ensure peak performance and longevity. Inventory Management: Identify, source, and obtain all necessary replacement parts required to complete repairs efficiently. Safety & Compliance: Strictly conform to all corporate and federal safety and health requirements to maintain a secure work environment. Required Qualifications Certification: Must have valid factory certification from either Thermo King or Carrier (strictly required). Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to diagnose and perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on transport refrigeration units. Specialized Skills: Experience in refrigerant handling, soldering, and major engine seal replacements. Local Availability: Must be located in or near the Medley/Miami area; relocation assistance is not provided. Preferred Qualifications Professional Development: Desire to engage in ongoing professional development and manufacturer-led training assistance provided by the company. Interview Readiness: Ability to clearly communicate technical expertise and past performance during a technical interview with the Branch Manager.
