Our network firm, AbitOs is hiring! We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a professional environment, enjoys working with a variety of clients, and is looking to advance their career in public accounting. Key Responsibilities:Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and file sales tax returns in compliance with state and local regulations.
Manage and prepare Form 1099s and related reporting requirements.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with payroll processing and related compliance reporting as needed.
Generate financial statements and management reports for clients.
Collaborate with tax and audit teams to ensure accurate year-end reporting.
Communicate with clients to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and provide ongoing support.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of bookkeeping experience , preferably within a CPA or public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of sales tax filings and 1099 preparation.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, or similar).
Strong Excel and general computer skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and client service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a CPA firm or multi-client environment.
Knowledge of UltraTax or similar tax preparation software (a plus).
Bilingual in Spanish/English (a plus).
