- Lead debug efforts on both custom and packaging machines, resolving mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues independently.
- Interface with PLC/controls systems at a functional level, including reading ladder logic, jogging axes, interpreting fault codes, and coordinating with controls engineers on resolutions.
- Perform intermediate fabrication tasks, including manual mill/lathe operations, welding, and plasma cutting, and operate basic fabrication equipment.
- Actively participate in project design reviews and contribute practical build feedback to the engineering team.
- Mentor junior technicians by providing guidance on assembly techniques, standards, and best practices.
- Lead by example in workmanship quality, housekeeping, and adherence to company values.

- Demonstrated ability to independently assemble complex custom machinery (mechanical and electrical) from start to finish.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Solid understanding of hand tools, power tools, and job-specific testing equipment.
- Intermediate fabrication skills, including manual mill/lathe operations, welding, and plasma cutting.
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent track record of high-quality, accurate work.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting concerns and solutions to leads and engineers.
