LEAVE OF ABSENCE SPECIALIST

We are seeking an experienced Leave of Absence Specialist to join our HR team in Plantation, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating our leave of absence (LOA) and workplace accommodation programs. You will serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and third-party vendors, ensuring a consistent, confidential, compliant, and employee-focused process from start to finish.

The ideal candidate brings strong multi-state compliance knowledge and a compassionate, customer-service-driven approach to helping employees navigate complex life events.

Location: Plantation, FL (Hybrid / Onsite)

Pay Range: $30.00 – $37.00 / hour (Dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate end-to-end leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs in alignment with FMLA, ADA, and company policies.
• Research, respond to, and document frequently asked questions regarding leaves. Assign priorities to incoming calls or emails based on urgency and escalate major legal issues to management when necessary.
• Enter and update leave data in designated HR systems, databases, and spreadsheets. Manage all case paperwork, including compiling, sorting, filing, scanning, and faxing documentation.
• Obtain, verify, and track authentication/medical certifications from healthcare providers, proactively requesting clarification on required information as needed.
• Act as the main bridge to the company's third-party leave administration vendors, monitoring notifications and ensuring accountability.
