Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate recording of journal entries in accordance with the corporate closing schedule
• Research and document retrieval to support Senior Staff
• Timely and accurate preparation of entry level assigned balance sheet reconciliations
• Timely research of reconciling items with exceptions reported to Senior Staff for review
• Carry out any reasonable request by management that employee can perform

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred, but NOT required
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five years experience in a month end close general ledger environment would be acceptable
• Hotel/Resort/Hospitality experience preferred, NOT required
• Ability to work overtime to assist Financial reporting department deadlines
• Entry level knowledge of various accounting software
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Excellent communication skills written and oral
• Ability to work independently and in a group environment (team player)
• Language Skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures in English
• Ability to write procedure manuals
• Work Environment
