Summary The primary responsibility of the Accounting Manager is to accurately record and report on all of the agency’s fiscal data, ensuring timely submissions for year-end financials, and assist the CEO with financial data reviews/reports for operation planning and execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain the agency’s accounting software (Non-Profit QuickBooks©) program and record agency fiscal data from approved sources.
Prepare vendor checks.
Download and record payroll from payroll service provider.
Reconcile the bank and other key accounts monthly.
Prepare internal financial statements for management and the Board of Directors.
Monitor cash flow and keep the CEO apprised of cash needs.
Maintain and provide financial records to permit invoicing and reporting for various funding sources.
Responsible for GAAP-basis financial statements, including disclosures, for year-end audit and for coordinating timely filed Form 990 annually.
Assist the CEO by providing financial data essential to operational planning and executions.

Need to Know Access
The Accounting Manager has access to the agency hard file administration cabinets . She/he has access to the agency EHR. She/he will have access to the shared network and support level access to the CAREWare database for client utilization reporting .
Education and/or Experience
Accounting or finance degree OR 5 years’ experience in corporate or public accounting. Three years accounting responsibility for all financial functions in an agency or corporation, at least two years of which using QuickBooks.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and correspondence. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
