DeRomo's Gourmet Market & Restaurant  is a popular, busy, authentic Italian marketplace in  Bonita Springs . We are currently seeking experienced, outgoing  Servers  to join our Food & Beverage Team for the season. The server is responsible for taking orders from restaurant guests and delivering exceptional guest services. Their duties include explaining the menu, making recommendations on food and beverages, answering food related questions, communicating with kitchen staff.

Part-Time (shift 10AM - 3PM) or (Shift 3:30PM - 10PM) 

Hours of operation are Sunday - Saturday 

Essential Functions:

• Welcome guest and confirm they are comfortably seated in the dining section
• Inform guests of menu specials, ask for food and drink orders
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
• Memorize the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock
• Deliver a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
• Assist with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
• In the absence of support staff, set tables and rearrange the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
• Ensure side work is complete, front of the house area is cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Restaurant experience preferred
• Demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of wine
• Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
• Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness
• Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
• Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
