Occupational Therapist (School Based)

Embark on a rewarding journey as a School-Based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant community of Pensacola. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance students' fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and daily living capabilities.
• Lead therapy sessions that focus on exercises to stretch, strengthen, and increase flexibility, aiming to restore joint motion and muscle strength.
• Assist students experiencing developmental delays to achieve independence in tasks such as dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Address sensory processing and attention challenges to foster better focus and social interactions within the classroom setting.
• Support students with behavioral disorders by teaching effective anger management strategies and coping skills.
• Evaluate and recommend specialized equipment, including wheelchairs and communication aids, tailored to each student’s needs.

Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s or Clinical Doctorate).
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
• Proficient in documentation and report writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a positive attitude.
