We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, including inventory management, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting for a business with $5M in annual revenue. This is an onsite position in a small, family office environment.
Responsibilities:• Manage and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger using QuickBooks Online.
• Oversee inventory accounting processes and ensure proper tracking and valuation.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for presentation to business owners.
• Review accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Implement and maintain document control processes, including scanning and organizing financial records.
• Compile and manage essential financial documents to support reporting and audits.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial operations and reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices.• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for general ledger and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and accounts payable processes.
• Expertise in document control, including compiling, scanning, and organizing records.
• Solid understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work onsite daily in West Palm Beach, Florida.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a small office environment.
