Job Summary

We’re looking for a skilled Manual Milling Machinist to join our team. This role focuses on operating manual milling machines to produce precision parts according to drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely, and pays close attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate manual milling machines (Bridgeport-style or similar)
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job travelers
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for materials
• Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators)
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
• Collaborate with supervisors and other machinists to meet production goals
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies .

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or machining apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist in a custom fabrication, job shop, or R&D setting.
• Skills:
• Advanced manual machining techniques and knowledge of GD&T
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-urgency environment
• Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter who takes ownership and thrives in a team setting

Work Environment

This position is based in a dynamic machine shop with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and industrial materials. Standing for long periods and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.) is required. Overtime may be necessary to meet project timelines.
