Information Architect

Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is in need of a role that sits within the Data Governance Office (DGO) and is responsible for shaping and evolving the organization's enterprise information architecture to enable a clear, self-service understanding of data across the business. In this position, the Information Architect will define and uphold standards for data modeling, taxonomy, and semantic structures to promote consistency, interoperability, and clarity. You will partner closely with both business and technology teams to design and maintain enterprise data domain models and ontologies, strengthening governance practices and supporting confident, reliable data usage across the organization.

• Experience supporting Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) environments or similar industries is highly valuable
• Proven ability to develop enterprise-wide business glossaries, domain models, and ontologies that promote alignment and a shared understanding of data across the organization
• Strong foundation in core data management practices, including data governance, data quality, master data management, data lineage, data modeling, and metadata management
• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing metadata governance frameworks, including establishing policies, standards, roles, and oversight structures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Hands-on experience implementing and driving adoption of enterprise data catalog platforms (such as Alation, Atlan, Collibra, or Informatica), including workflow configuration, stewardship enablement, and rollout strategy
• Track record of delivering results through cross-functional collaboration, working across both business and data teams to achieve shared outcomes
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect data initiatives to operational processes, key drivers, and measurable business value
• Deep understanding of data and metadata management principles, along with experience in business analysis and process optimization
