Inventory Purchasing & Accounting Assistant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a capable and detail-driven Inventory Purchasing & Accounting Assistant to support our finance and
operations team within a busy compound pharmacy environment. This role combines essential accounting duties with
active involvement in raw material purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory monitoring. The ideal candidate will
have 2-3 years of experience and will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, reliable supply chain
processes, and efficient inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions
- Record and post daily transactions, including journal entries, sales, purchases, and expense allocations
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entries
- Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting documentation for internal use and audits
Purchasing & Vendor Management
- Coordinate procurement of raw materials, packaging, and pharmacy supplies based on production requirements
- Track and manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor invoices
- Maintain accurate vendor records and resolve invoice or delivery discrepancies
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure consistent material availability and cost control
Inventory Monitoring & Control
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods
- Reconcile inventory records with accounting systems and identify discrepancies
- Collaborate with compounding and operations teams to maintain accurate real-time inventory data
- Assist in managing inventory movement, waste tracking, and product costing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a pharmacy, healthcare, or manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms (such as QuickBooks or Microsoft Business Central)
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles and cost/inventory accounting practices is recommended
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Required Language Skills:
- Bilingual - fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
