Through flagship programs like Leadership Brevard and Leadership Essentials, LEAD Brevard has shaped generations of leaders who influence businesses, nonprofits, and civic institutions across the region.

With Brevard County experiencing dynamic economic and community growth, LEAD Brevard is entering an exciting phase of strategic evolution. As the organization looks to build on its strong foundation, we seek a visionary and strategic CEO to take us to the next chapter of impact and innovation, strengthening our community by inspiring people to LEAD! This position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

This is an in-office position based in Rockledge Florida with frequent trips in and around Brevard County to visit stakeholders and local businesses. Expected salary range $90,000 - $110,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Opportunity

The CEO will have the opportunity to:
  • Shape and execute a strategic vision that aligns with the county’s changing leadership and workforce needs.
  • Elevate and expand existing programs while designing new initiatives to meet the demands of a growing and evolving Brevard County.
  • Develop and upskill staff to maximize their leadership potential and operational effectiveness.
  • Strengthen relationships with local businesses, government, and nonprofit organizations to ensure LEAD Brevard remains the go-to resource for leadership development.
  • Provide financial stewardship to sustain and grow the organization’s impact.
This role is ideal for a proven non-profit mission driven leader who understands the intersection of leadership development, community engagement, and organizational growth. The incoming LEADER will work closely with the Board, stakeholders, and staff to build on the strong foundation established under current leadership and take the organization to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Community Impact
  • Lead the next phase of strategic growth, ensuring alignment with Brevard County’s changing economic and civic landscape.
  • Position LEAD Brevard as the continued thought leader in leadership development and workforce readiness by empowering leaders to create a lasting impact.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with business leaders, government agencies, educational institutions, and non-profits to expand LEAD Brevard’s reach and influence.

Program Development & Innovation

  • Assess and enhance existing programs to ensure they remain relevant, high-impact, and financially sustainable.
  • Develop new leadership initiatives to address regional growth and the changing workforce needs.
  • Elevate the Leadership Brevard alumni network to foster ongoing engagement and influence in the community.
Organizational Growth & Staff Development
  • Empower and develop current staff, creating an organizational culture of continuous learning and high performance.
  • Ensure that LEAD Brevard’s team structure, resources, and capabilities align with the organization's evolving strategic direction.
Financial & Operational Oversight
  • Provide financial oversight, including budgeting, fundraising strategies, and revenue diversification.
  • Present clear financial and strategic insights to the Board—ensuring alignment while maintaining decision-making authority.
  • Secure funding partnerships and sponsorships to support organizational sustainability and expansion.

Board & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with the Board as a strategic partner, ensuring strong governance and alignment with the organization's mission.
  • Serve as the primary ambassador for LEAD Brevard, representing the organization at key events and in the media.

Qualifications

T he ideal candidate will be a strategic, dynamic, and community-driven leader with:
  • Proven executive experience in non-profit leadership, association management, corporate leadership development, or from a mission-driven organization.
  • A strong track record of designing and executing strategic growth initiatives .
  • Experience developing staff and scaling organizations.
  • Financial acumen, including budget management, fundraising, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent public speaker, relationship-builder with strong decision-making skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Brevard County’s business, government, and civic landscape (or a strong desire and ability to immerse in it quickly).
