Concierge Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Concierge Medical Assistant to join our medical team. In this role, you will provide personalized, patient-centered support while assisting physicians with clinical care and ensuring an exceptional experience for each patient. Responsibilities include patient triage and assessments, preparing patients for physician examinations, assisting with diagnostic procedures, coordinating follow-up care, and maintaining accurate clinical records. The ideal candidate is professional, empathetic, knowledgeable about HMO insurance carriers, and thrives in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform patient triage and assessments, including taking and recording vital signs.
2. Assist physicians with clinical office procedures and diagnostic/therapeutic interventions.
3. Provide patient education, instructions, and follow-up care as directed.
4. Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medication logs.
5. Coordinate scheduling and pre-certification for imaging/tests (e.g., CT, MRI, PET scans).
6. Maintain and update patient charts, records, and physician dictations.
7. Manage patient calls, messages, and follow-up communication in a timely manner.
8. Ensure exam rooms and work areas remain clean, safe, and well-stocked.
9. Support lab and X-ray procedures (if certified).
10. Monitor and order medical supplies as needed.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned by the physician or practice manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 12 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Completion of a medical assisting program or certification from an accredited trade school strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Athena EMR, CPT, and ICD-10 coding is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build professional, compassionate rapport with patients.
• Proficiency in typing and computer use with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask, adapt, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
