Land Survey Manager
Position OverviewThe Land Survey Manager will oversee all surveying operations, ensuring accurate land measurements and compliance with regulations. This position requires a strong background in civil engineering and construction, as well as management skills to lead a team of surveyors in various projects. We are a civil engineering firm that provides land planning, surverying, engineering, water resources and other services to various markets. Key Responsibilities
- Manage surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of surveyors, ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and implement surveying procedures and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with civil engineering and construction teams to provide accurate land survey data for project planning.
- Utilize advanced surveying technologies, including GNSS, UAV, and Aerial Surveying, to improve data collection processes.
- Prepare and review survey reports, maps, and documentation, ensuring they meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project needs and compliance issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble.
- Proficiency in project management practices, with PMP certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with local zoning laws, land development regulations, and safety standards (OSHA).
