Position Summary

Sufrat Mediterranean Grill is looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen while supporting our cooks and service staff. The ideal candidate is organized, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping the restaurant operating smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment and by hand when necessary.
• Ensure all dishes and kitchen tools are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area throughout each shift.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to maintain a safe work environment.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, sinks, shelving, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries when needed.
• Restock clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen supplies for the culinary team.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to management.
• Support kitchen staff with general cleaning and closing duties.
• Work collaboratively with cooks, prep staff, and front-of-house employees to ensure efficient restaurant operations.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwasher or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
• Strong work ethic with excellent reliability and attendance.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working around hot water, cleaning chemicals, and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and sanitation standards.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements
