Landscape Maintenance Drivers

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport equipment and crew members to various job sites
• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain turf areas in parks, medians, and municipal properties
• Operate hand tools and power equipment such as string trimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers, chain saws, and zero-turn mowers
• Remove litter, debris, and fallen limbs from public grounds
• Load, unload, and transport landscaping equipment and materials
• Assist with storm cleanup and emergency response efforts, including hurricane preparation and debris removal
• Follow all safety procedures in accordance with city, county, and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support grounds maintenance operations

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver’s license - REQUIRED
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
• Ability to work outdoors in hot, humid, and rainy weather conditions typical of Central Florida
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or manual labor preferred but not required
• Must pass background screening and drug test in accordance with municipal hiring policies

Compensation

$16 - $20 per hour dependent on experience
$500 sign-on bonus after 90 days* - additional terms apply
