PSA Engineer
Akkodis is seeking an PSA Engineer for a Contract with a client in Melbourne, FL/Bellevue, WA (Preferred On-site, open to Remote). Candidate must have strong expertise in Transmission EMS/SCADA systems with hands-on experience in developing and customizing Energy Management Systems for electric utilities.
Rate Range: $56/hour to $71/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
PSA Engineer job responsibilities include:
Develop, customize, and support Transmission EMS applications, ensuring reliable performance in real-time and mission‑critical environments.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve system issues by reviewing logs, debugging code, and applying fixes on live customer systems.
Implement and validate SCADA, EMS, and grid‑related application functionalities, including database updates and configuration changes.
Collaborate with clients during technical reviews, requirement discussions, and solution delivery activities.
Perform code development and enhancements using C/C++, Java, SQL/Oracle, and scripting for EMS product improvements.
Deploy patches, conduct system testing, and ensure stable operation of EMS/SCADA applications across Linux and Windows platforms.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
Preferably 6–8 years (open to 2–5 years for strong near‑match profiles as per client guidance).
Must have hands‑on experience developing, customizing, and supporting Transmission EMS/SCADA systems in real‑time or mission‑critical environments.
Must be proficient in C/C++, Java, SQL/Oracle, and capable of installing and validating fixes on live customer systems.
