What You Will Do
As a 3D Computer Graphics Intern in the Clinical Applications and Solutions team at Stryker, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge 3D rendering methods for improving the visualization of intra-operative procedural data for Stryker's robotics and navigation applications. Your work will explore the use of advanced rendering and shading methods to improve the look and feel and performance of our 3D visualization algorithms. In addition, you will collaborate with software and test engineers to integrate your improvements into Stryker’s Mako surgical robotic system. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mission while developing your skills in a hybrid, collaborative setting.

What You Need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
- Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
- Deep familiarity with 3D rendering pipelines and algorithms. Medical visualization experience desired.
- Strong experience with C/C++, OpenGL and/or Vulkan, and GLSL. Experience with Qt, Git, Windows or Linux development desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
Pay rate will not be below any applicable local minimum wage rates.
