Job Description:

As the Transportation Manager at 654Global , you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our transportation services. You will be responsible for leading our team, optimizing logistics, and ensuring the highest standards of service quality. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Logistics Management

• Oversee daily transportation operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and route planning to maximize efficiency.
• Manage fleet logistics, ensuring vehicles are properly utilized and operational downtime is minimized.
• Monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) such as on-time performance, fleet availability, and customer satisfaction.
• Implement best practices for optimizing transportation costs while maintaining high service standards.

Staff Leadership & Development

• Supervise and coordinate a team of drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff.
• Handle recruitment, hiring, and training to ensure a skilled and professional workforce.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and implement professional development plans.
• Foster a positive work culture that aligns with 654Global’s values of teamwork, customer focus, and innovation.

Financial & Budget Management

• Develop and manage operational budgets, monitoring costs and identifying areas for financial improvement.
• Assist in pricing strategies for transportation services, ensuring competitive yet profitable rates.
• Analyze financial reports and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.

Customer Service & Public Relations

• Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing client concerns and feedback effectively.
• Develop and implement service improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Represent 654Global in the community, building relationships with local businesses, government agencies, and key stakeholders.

Compliance & Safety Management

• Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations , including safety and environmental standards.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and inspections to guarantee fleet reliability and safety.
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Technology & Innovation

• Leverage transportation management software (TMS) to streamline scheduling, fleet tracking, and reporting.
• Identify and integrate new technologies to improve operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

Crisis & Risk Management

• Respond to emergencies such as vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and service disruptions, ensuring contingency plans are executed smoothly.
• Develop risk management strategies to minimize operational disruptions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in transportation management or a related field.
• Proven experience in fleet operations, logistics, or passenger transportation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and coach employees.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and crisis management skills.
• Proficiency in transportation software and logistics technology.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing luxury or executive transportation fleets.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control,
• Understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety compliance.

Work Schedule & Expectations:

• Full-time, 40+ hours per week
• Requires flexibility, including occasional weekends and evenings for emergencies or peak service periods.
• Must be available for on-call responsibilities when necessary.
