REEL Shed Worker
Now hiring REEL Shed Workers to build and breakdown LARGE (5ft -10ft diameter) CABLE REEL's for a Cable manufacturing company in Milton, FL.
Reel Shed Workers are responsible for handling cable reels by loading, unloading, and organizing them in the warehouse. They are also responsible for building and breaking down the LARGE (5ft -10ft diameter) Cable Reel's. The job is physically demanding and requires lifting of 50 lbs. (or more), standing for long periods, and working 12-hour shifts. REEL Shed Workers who do a good job AND have good attendance will have a chance to move up to Machine Operator roles. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tracks the availability of all REELS throughout the property
- Paint & Stencil any REELS that do NOT meet appearance requirements
- Builds/Assembles any REELS that are NOT available
- Breakdown any REELS that do not meet specifications - use viable parts to build new REELS
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Follow ALL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Complete appropriate paperwork to ensure accurate inventory
- Ability to lift 50+lbs & work in a "HOT" environment
- MUST wear Steel Toe shoes/boots while anywhere in the facility
- Other duties as assigned (including, but not limited to heavy-lifting & various types of manual labor).
EXPERIENCE:
- Must have experience, and be comfortable working in physically "HOT" environments.
- This is a physically demanding position, you MUST be able to lift/move/transfer at least 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Previous REEL building/breakdown experience is PREFERRED but NOT required.
Starts at $15/hr. Depending on the level of Experience
REEL Shed Workers who do a good job AND have good attendance will have a chance to move up to Machine Operator roles.
SCHEDULE:
Day Shift = 7:30am - 7:30pm --- Full-time
(MUST be able to work OVER-TIME)
***EXPECT to work 60+ hrs. a week***
(All Hours over 40 hours will be paid at time-and-a-half)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must complete a pre-employment background check (having something on your record does NOT eliminate you from this position, we take everything on an individual "case-by-case" basis)
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must have Steel-toed boots.
- Must have RELIABLE transportation to Milton FL.
