Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting a General Maintenance Engineering I to join our team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. Position Summary

A General Maintenance Engineer l will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas. Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills.

Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

· Perform a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of general building and grounds including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting tasks;

· Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.

· Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.

· Clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel.

· Learn emergency procedures.

· Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed.
