Funding Program Manager/Engineer
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a Funding Program Manager/Engineer.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with our Funding Practice Leader and support team to provide funding assistance efforts for municipal clients seeking local, state and federal grants and loans for water, wastewater and stormwater projects
- Preparing grant/loan applications, planning documents and financing plans
- Developing payment schedules for loan payments
- Preparing agreements between funding agencies and clients
- Verifying compliance with grant/loan agreement and other agency requirements during design, bidding and construction
- Maintaining grant/loan documentation
- Assisting with grant/loan closeout and audits
- Assisting in the development of funding strategies for client capital improvement projects
- Assisting with the writing of facility plans for the application of funding
- QC engineering designs
- Leading smaller sized projects
Some travel may be required.
The successful candidate must have the following:
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least eighteen (18) years of relevant experience
- A Florida PE license
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
- FDEP Clean & Drinking Water SRF programs
- Design and management of water and Wastewater CIP projects
- Coordination with regulatory agencies (local, regional, and national)
- Various funding programs including but not limited to: SRF, WQI, WMD Cost-Share
- Maintaining compliance with federal funding programs on utility design and construction projects
- Engineering review of funding facility plans
- Project management
- Mentoring less experienced staff
