Automotive Sales Consultant
Huston Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Avon Park, FL is now hiring full time, experienced Automotive Sales Consultants. This is a unique opportunity to work for one of the area's most reputable family owned dealer groups! Must have at least 1 year working in a Dealership environment for consideration.
Automotive Sales Consultants are responsible for assisting customers who reach out the dealership from initial contact to final delivery.
This highly accountable position uses lead management tools, CRM software, phones and the internet to: manage inquiry flow, schedule appointments, update customer files, closely track customer interest, and conduct follow up surveys.
The ideal candidate will deliver a premium customer experience by responding to inquiries in a prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous manner while assisting customers in selecting the vehicle that best suits their needs.
It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication skills and that you are able to effectively build relationships with clients in order to ensure high level of customer service, return business, and referrals.
Automotive Sales Consultant responsibilities include:
- Greet customers in a friendly manner.
- Listen to customer requirements in order to match their vehicle needs with new and pre-owned inventory.
- Accompany customer on test drives and demonstrate vehicle features and technology.
- Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals and establish customer network
- Continuously develop product and sales knowledge to become the vehicle authority.
- Know the ins and outs of inventory, optional packages, and the latest technologies.
- Learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations.
- Report directly to the Sales Manager regarding objectives and creative ideas.
- Complete all paperwork
- Close the deal and deliver vehicle to customer
- Utilize dealership CRM and follow-up system and procedures
- Maintain a customer satisfaction rating at or above company standards

Automotive Sales Consultant qualifications include:
- Minimum of 2 years of successful automotive sales experience REQUIRED
- Internet savvy / experience utilizing Inventory and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish preferred
- Strong negotiation, closing, problem solving, and presentation skills
- MS Office knowledge; computer software, and general mathematic skills
- Must exhibit ethical behavior, provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers
- Ability to maintain proper dress code and professional appearance in accordance with dealership policies
- Ability to read and comprehend rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
