This can be a full-time, on-site Staff Accountant, or a part time remote role based in Ocala, FL. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks including maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, handling month-end and year-end closures, and supporting audits as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties including auditing raw data
Qualifications:
- Proficiency account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Expertise in Excel, and familiarity with AI.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Strong analytical skills to assess financial data, budgeting, and forecasting abilities.
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks or other ERP systems.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Previous experience in accounting
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
