Lecturer
Excelon Associates is partnering with a higher education institution to recruit a dynamic, student-centered Lecturer committed to delivering high-quality instruction and contributing to the broader academic community. The successful candidate will support undergraduate and/or graduate teaching, foster student achievement and career readiness, and contribute to curriculum innovation and scholarly activity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Deliver high-quality instruction across a range of modules and programs at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Lead modules as appropriate, including assessment design, grading, and moderation.
- Develop and implement innovative, inclusive, and engaging approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including blended, digital, and flexible learning approaches.
- Serve as an academic advisor or faculty mentor, supporting student engagement, progression, and well-being.
- Evaluate student work and provide timely, constructive, and developmental feedback.
- Participate in assessment boards, moderation, and quality assurance processes.
- Support program leaders with administrative responsibilities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the design, review, and enhancement of modules and academic programs.
- Engage in scholarly activity and/or professional practice to inform teaching and curriculum innovation.
- Contribute to research, knowledge exchange, or industry engagement activities appropriate to the role.
- Support recruitment and admissions activities, including open houses, applicant events, and interviews.
- Contribute to student retention, progression, and achievement initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the School and institution.
- Engage with employers, professional organizations, and external stakeholders to enhance curriculum relevance and student career outcomes.
- Contribute to outreach, community engagement, and partnership initiatives as appropriate.
- Participate in School and institutional meetings, committees, and events.
- Engage in continuing professional development, including instructional credentials and professional recognition.
- Work in accordance with institutional policies, including equity, diversity, and inclusion; health and safety; and data protection.
- Perform other duties appropriate to the position as assigned by the Department Chair.
Required
- Experience teaching or supporting learning in higher education or a relevant professional setting.
- Ability to deliver engaging and inclusive instruction to students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with assessment, grading, and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong administrative, technology, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build positive professional relationships with students and colleagues.
- Experience serving as a module or course lead.
- Experience supervising or mentoring students.
- Experience developing new courses or implementing innovative instructional approaches.
- Experience teaching using blended, online, or distance learning modalities.
- Commitment to expanding access and supporting student success.
- Dedication to high-quality, reflective, and collaborative teaching practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
Required
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Doctorate or progress toward a doctorate.
- Fellowship in a recognized higher education teaching body or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe.
