Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney for its client's Miami office.

Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate with 5+ years of substantive litigation experience to join our Miami office. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills, experience handling complex business disputes, and the ability to manage cases independently from inception through resolution.
This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with direct client interaction and significant responsibility.
Responsibilities- Manage all phases of commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and discovery motions
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and correspondence
- Handle written discovery, document review, and depositions
- Prepare witnesses and assist with trial strategy and trial preparation
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
- Manage case deadlines and coordinate with support staff and junior attorneys
- Contribute to business development and client relationship efforts as appropriate
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm
- Strong experience with complex business disputes, contract litigation, partnership/shareholder disputes, and related matters
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Deposition and courtroom experience preferred
- Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Federal court experience is a plus
- Portable business is a plus but not required
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment
- Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable handling high-level responsibilities with minimal supervision
