- This job is a member of the Cargo Team within the Customer Experience Division.
- Responsible for heavy outbound phone solicitation with a pro-active approach to generating and securing new revenue generation for the Texas Region, Western Division, and over Cargo Division. Individual will be also be responsible for a number of accounts to develop and ability to grow new business as well as sales support for Outside Sales Managers. This position is an inside sales position for development into outside sales.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to rates, bookings, schedules and service options.
- Provide prompt, accurate responses to customers via phone, email and digitial platforms
- Responds quickly to customer requests for quotes, rates, and special projects from Account and/or Regional Manager
- Maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, shippers and partners
- Utilizes selling skills and product knowledge to solicit business from potential shippers by phone to maximize sales productivity
- Pulls daily, weekly, monthly account information and have ability to review the information to assist in proactive selling and to create strategic sales generation reports
- Maintain accurate customer records, rate files and sales activity logs in CRM and internal systems
- Works close in a team environment and assist Account Managers with sales call preparation and follow up

- Work closely with operations, revenue management and finance teams to support seamless cargo movement
- Assist in resolving service issues, claims or escalations

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High School diploma or GED Equivalency
- MUST be bilingual in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Knowledge of air cargo products, service levels and industry terminology
- Possess a professional, interpersonal and positive selling technique
- Native SABRE and Cargo Booking System knowledge
- College degree
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Knowledge of AA Cargo products and services and be proficient in telephone sales
- Knowledge of cargo and selling techniques helpful, strong interpersonal and organization skills required
- Strong professional work ethics
- Ability to work closely in a team environment, self-starter, highly- motivated and creative thinking individual
- Analytical and organization skills
- Possess the ability to effectively work with all levels of personal and management
