Job Title: HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic assembles, disassembles, repairs, and maintains a variety of industrial construction equipment in both shop and yard environments. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, and ensures that all work areas and equipment remain safe, clean, and operational.

Required Experience - construction equipment maintenance on some of the following: Concrete Pumps, Drill Rigs, Cranes, Diesel Forklifts, Excavators, Front End Loaders

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand and power tools to complete assembly and disassembly tasks on heavy construction equipment.
• Disassemble industrial-sized construction equipment, including ready-mix trucks, excavators, drill rigs, cranes, forklifts, and similar machinery.
• Perform maintenance activities such as preventive maintenance (PMs), rebuilds, tear downs, troubleshooting, motor swaps, and fuel pump rebuilds.
• Assess necessary repairs to fleet vehicles and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a wide range of heavy and construction equipment.
• Work both in an indoor shop and outdoors in the yard to complete repair and maintenance tasks.
• Follow and promote all safety rules, procedures, and best practices while working on equipment and in the yard.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Report any observed problems or malfunctions, including issues with storage and placement of parts, to the supervisor.
• Report any discovered repair issues to the Manager in a timely and accurate manner.
• Report to the Shop Manager for the daily repair schedule and prioritize tasks accordingly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Land O Lakes, FL.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Land O Lakes,FL.
