Traveling Commercial Superintendent

Job Title: SuperintendentJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Superintendent to oversee multiple construction projects focused on end-of-life electrical upgrades. This role involves significant travel with mileage reimbursement and per diem for eligible days. The projects are primarily based in the Southeastern USA, with initial assignments in Florida. The Superintendent will work on a series of projects, each with a duration of approximately 8 weeks, potentially extending over 12 months. The position requires night shift work, specifically planning for the third shift. Responsibilities + Develop and implement a schedule and cost-effective plan for project completion. + Collaborate with staff to create preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor. + Coordinate and schedule work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers. + Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness, and provide progress reports to stakeholders. + Collaborate with architects, engineers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. + Ensure adherence to architectural and engineering plans and obtain necessary permits and licenses. + Monitor project budget and communicate any variances. + Maintain records related to costs and inventory. + Address safety violations or other deficiencies. + Collaborate with union representatives to answer questions and clarify procedures. + Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills + OSHA 10 certification + Experience with Procore or other construction management software + 5+ years of superintendent experience in general building and commercial construction + Experience in electrical scope work is highly preferred Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong subcontractor management skills + OSHA 30 certification is beneficial + Proficiency in construction and commercial construction management Work Environment This position involves working night shifts, specifically the third shift, with a focus on electrical upgrades. The work is project-based, with each project lasting approximately 8 weeks, and requires travel primarily within the Southeastern USA. Mileage reimbursement and per diem are provided for eligible travel days. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
