Express Wash Director of Maintenance
Position: Express Wash Director of Maintenance
Reports to: President
Position Summary:
The Express Wash Director of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all car wash equipment for 10 express car wash locations located in Central Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Leadership:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Create preventative maintenance schedules and ensure compliance at all locations.
Equipment Management:
- Oversee installation, repair, and upgrade of car wash equipment for new and existing locations.
- Partner with vendors to secure the best pricing and support for parts and equipment.
- Stay informed of the latest car wash technology and trends to recommend improvements.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, brand standards, and environmental standards.
- Work alongside Operations and HR to implement risk management and safety protocols to reduce workplace accidents.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget, including forecasting and cost analysis.
- Monitor expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Develop and track performance related to equipment uptime, repair costs, and technician efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with site managers and operations team to align maintenance goals with overall business objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated maintenance issues.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on equipment status and maintenance projects.
Emergency Response:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for critical equipment failures.
- Be available for on-call support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Required: proven experience in a maintenance leadership role in the car wash industry for a minimum of 5 years.
- Strong technical knowledge of car wash equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical repairs.
- Must have excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to empower others.
- Be committed to operational excellence and superior guest service.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that varies from week to week which will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
