Summary: Communicate with customers and vendors in order to schedule delivery of military shipments while providing excellent customer service Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate and respond promptly with transferees and agencies regarding shipment's arrival at destination warehouses Record/update computer system with notes regarding changes and communications with military members/transferees and agents Provide all necessary shipment information to client and government agencies Communicate with transferees and outside vendors of necessary shipment specifics or special needs Resolve transferee complaints and issues Complete all administrative procedures related to clients' moves associated with the delivery portion of each move Interface with other department personnel regarding pricing or service related issues Maintain accurate records and audit documents for accuracy Ability to work overtime Job Skills Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly customer service oriented Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workday Ability to multi-task and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills required Excellent attention to detail and follow through Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in the moving industry preferred Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent customer service and oral/written communication skills required. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Must have strong data entry skills.
