The Vascular and Vein Center at Gulfcoast Surgeons in Fort Myers, FL is a leading provider of comprehensive vascular care in Southwest Florida. Our board-certified vascular surgeons specialize in advanced, minimally invasive procedures and are committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to support our vascular surgeons during patient consultations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent typing skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting. This is a full time, on-site position, 5 days per week, no weekends. You will work with our Vascular Surgeons at 2 locations.

What the Key Responsibilities look like:

• Accurately document physician-patient encounters in real-time during clinical visits and procedures.
• Input patient history, physical exam findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans into the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Assist with pre-charting and reviewing prior medical records and imaging.
• Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow and care delivery.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

What we want to see from you:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in health sciences preferred.
• 1+ year of experience as a medical scribe or in a clinical healthcare setting (vascular or surgical specialty highly preferred).
• Proficiency in EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially in vascular surgery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain focused under pressure.
• Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
• Valid FL DL and insurance to allow for travel between our 2 locations
• Bilingual Spanish/English is highly valued.
• Competitive hourly wage: $18.00 – $20.50
