As the Registered Nurse Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Cardiac Care Med/Surg unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive work environment for staff. You will work closely with the hospital administration to develop and implement strategic plans for the department, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the Cardiac Care Med/Surg unit, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management - Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures - Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient outcomes and department performance - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients - Mentor and train staff to maintain a high level of clinical competency and professionalism - Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care and make necessary improvements - Act as a liaison between the department and hospital administration, communicating any issues or concerns - Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for staff - Stay up-to-date with advancements in cardiac care and implement new practices and procedures as needed Qualifications: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree preferred - Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiac care and/or med/surg nursing - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role - Strong knowledge of cardiac care procedures and protocols - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team - Strong leadership and decision-making abilities - Proficient in budgeting and resource management - Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements - BLS and ACLS certifications required, PALS preferred We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
