Proofreader
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team at MARBLELIFE®. As the leader in surface restoration and maintenance services, we take pride in our scientific approach to providing superior quality service and products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for spotting errors and inconsistencies to ensure our written materials are polished and error-free.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and proofread written materials for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style errors
- Ensure consistency in formatting, style, and tone across all written materials
- Verify facts and check references to ensure accuracy of information
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to make necessary corrections
- Maintain and update style guides to ensure consistency in language usage
- Flag any potential legal or ethical issues in the written content
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Proofreader or in a similar role
- Exceptional command of the English language
- Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and spelling rules
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Desired Experience:
- Experience working in a scientific or technical field
- Familiarity with style guides such as AP, MLA, or Chicago Manual of Style
- Previous experience in surface care, maintenance, or related industries
Salary & Benefits:
- Minimum Salary: $105,000 per year
- Maximum Salary: $115,000 per year
