School- Age Assistant Teacher

After School Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:

• Maintain active supervision of all children at all times.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Follow all school policies, licensing regulations, and emergency procedures

Program Implementation:

• Lead engaging activities such as homework help, arts and crafts, games, and enrichment projects.
• Create a positive, structured routine for students during after-school hours.
• Prepare materials needed for daily activities.
• Support children in completing homework and provide guidance when needed.

Behavior Guidance:

• Use positive guidance techniques to manage behavior.
• Encourage cooperation, respect, and problem-solving among students.
• Address conflicts calmly and appropriately, following program discipline policies.

Communication:

• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Communicate any concerns, incidents, or important updates to the Director promptly.
• Greet parents during pick-up and provide brief updates when necessary.

Recordkeeping & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate attendance records.
• Document incidents or injuries following program procedure.
• Ensure all required forms and sign-ins are completed daily.

Teamwork & Professionalism:

• Work collaboratively with coworkers and support program needs.
• Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development.
• Model professionalism, reliability, and positive behavior at all times.

REQUIRMENTS:

• Required Clearinghouse Background Screening.
• Position is MONDAY-FRIDAY- 3-7PM. If needing more hours after 90 day probation period Full Time will be available.
• Team Player/ Great Attitude.
• This is a closing shift, you will be responsible for Cleaning.
• Treasure Kids Academy Employment Application must still be filled out in house.
