AmCoat operates premium coating brands (Rhino Shield & Floor Shield) serving residential and commercial property owners through a growing dealer and franchise network.

As we scale toward a $50M+ dealer/franchisor platform, we are building a world-class operational infrastructure to support our dealers, leadership team, and long-term growth.

We are seeking a Controller who will lead the development of the company’s financial systems, operational workflows, and reporting infrastructure.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building the backbone of AmCoat’s financial and operational systems.

Role Overview:
The Controller will serve as the architect of AmCoat’s financial systems and back-office operations.

This person will design and implement efficient processes, improve how we leverage NetSuite and other technologies, and deliver clear financial reporting to leadership.

The ideal candidate is not just an accountant, but a systems thinker who can build scalable processes that support rapid growth.

This role will report directly to the CEO and manage at least one direct report supporting operations, customer support, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities.
Financial Leadership & Reporting:
  • Own the monthly close process and financial reporting.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Build executive-level financial dashboards and reporting.
  • Develop KPI reporting for leadership decision-making.
  • Build cash flow forecasting and financial planning systems.
  • Analyze product margins, operational costs, and profitability.
  • Provide insights that support strategic decision-making.


Business Systems & Process Design:

  • Design and implement scalable operational workflows.
  • Improve the company’s use of NetSuite and supporting technologies.
  • Work with NetSuite consultants to optimize system configuration.
  • Identify automation opportunities that reduce manual work.
  • Create standardized processes across accounting, operations, and dealer support.


Operational Process Improvement.

Lead initiatives that improve operational efficiency across areas such as:

  • Dealer order workflows.
  • Vendor purchasing and PO processes.
  • Freight and logistics management.
  • Warranty claim management systems.
  • Inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Dealer credit and reimbursement workflows.


Back Office Team Leadership.

The Controller will manage and develop a small administrative and operational support team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Hiring and developing support staff.
  • Delegating administrative responsibilities.
  • Creating clear processes and accountability structures.
  • Ensuring back-office operations run smoothly.


NetSuite & Technology Optimization:

  • Serve as the internal leader for NetSuite usage and reporting.
  • Work with external consultants to improve system architecture.
  • Build financial dashboards and operational reports.
  • Ensure data integrity across business systems.


Key Outcomes for the Role.
Within the first 12–18 months, this role should deliver:

  • Clear, reliable financial reporting for leadership.
  • Executive dashboards that track company performance.
  • Improved NetSuite workflows and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in accounting, finance, or business operations.
  • Experience managing financial reporting and accounting systems.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
  • Experience improving operational processes and workflows.
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.


Preferred Experience:

  • Controller or senior finance leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-location businesses or franchise systems.
  • Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization.
  • Experience building financial dashboards and reporting systems.

Compensation.
Pensacola Market Range.
Base Salary:
$100,000 – $120,000.

Performance-based incentives may be included based on company growth and operational improvements.
