A rapidly growing, privately held company in the logistics industry is seeking a dynamic Corporate Controller to join its senior leadership team. This role reports directly to the CFO and will lead all corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, financial reporting, internal controls, payroll, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate must have an active CPA with a strong technical foundation in accounting, a strategic mindset, and experience building and scaling accounting teams in a high-growth, operationally complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop a growing corporate accounting team
- Oversee accounting operations: general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial close
- Ensure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting
- Establish and enforce GAAP-compliant accounting policies and procedures
- Provide guidance to leadership on technical accounting matters
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and sales
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
- Oversee internal control processes and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead or support system implementations and process improvements
- Serve as a key advisor to the CFO on financial strategy and risk management

Qualifications

- Active CPA license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Proven leadership in managing accounting operations and teams
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and compliance
- Experience with financial system implementations or upgrades (Sage Intacct or ADP is a plus)
- Previous exposure to logistics, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing industries is a plus
- Strong business acumen and ability to partner cross-functionally
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
