Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Neurology
Description
This on-site, contract position is located in Orange Park and offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality neurological care in a supportive medical practice environment.
As a Neurology Locum, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and managing a variety of neurological conditions, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care. This role is critical to our commitment to excellence in medical practice, and you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals focused on delivering the best patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough neurological evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various neurological disorders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in neurology
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely
- Participate in case discussions and clinical meetings
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards in medical practice
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with a valid medical license
- Completion of a residency in Neurology
- Experience in a clinical neurology setting (Associate level)
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Schedule: 7a-7a, specific dates
Call required
Will cover 3 EDs
Duties: General neurology and stroke alerts
Support Staff: Nurses, techs
EMR: Meditech, Patient Keeper, eCW
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
