Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Commercial CSR / Insurance Agent with strong commercial insurance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage client accounts from new business through renewals and ongoing servicing. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and provides outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial insurance accounts, including renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and servicing
- Provide timely and accurate quotes, bind coverage, and issue policy documentation
- Communicate with carriers, clients, and brokers to ensure smooth underwriting and account management
- Utilize Vertafore AMS360 to process transactions, maintain client records, and document communications
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting account growth and retention
- Review and interpret carrier underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance
- Educate clients on coverages, limits, exclusions, and recommendations
- Collaborate with team members to support agency goals
- Active Florida insurance license (Commercial Lines; 2-20 preferred )
- Bilingual with strong English speaking, reading, and writing skills
- Proven experience in commercial insurance (CSR or Agent level)
- Familiarity with multiple carriers and underwriting guidelines
- Strong knowledge of quoting, binding, and policy servicing
- Experience with Vertafore AMS360 or a comparable agency management system
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience across multiple commercial lines (General Liability, Property, Workers’ Compensation, etc.)

Psychological & Cognitive Demands
This position requires sustained mental focus, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing insurance environment. The individual must be able to:
- Maintain concentration and attention to detail for extended periods while reviewing policies, endorsements, and underwriting guidelines
- Analyze complex insurance information and make sound decisions regarding coverage, compliance, and risk exposure
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing
- Manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Respond appropriately and professionally to client concerns, questions, and high-pressure situations
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and company information
- Adapt to changing carrier guidelines, compliance requirements, and agency priorities
- Work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Maintain composure and professionalism during challenging customer service interactions
