CDL A Driver/Chofer
Neptune Nursery in Palm City, Florida is looking to hire a driver with a CDL A License who will be in charge of picking up products for the nursery (e.g., rocks, mulch, sod, plants, palms, etc.) as well as helping with local deliveries.
Responsibilities:- Driven, positive attitude, team player, self-starter, and career-oriented workers.
- Able to haul sod pallets, mulch, palms, plants, rocks, sand, soil, and etc.
- Able to operate semi-trucks, tractor trailers, dump trucks, and flatbeds.
- Able to listen, have open and effective communication with office and customers.
- Able to use a cell phone, text messaging and GPS.
- Collecting and loading stock in a manner that prevents breakage.
- Ensuring that the trucks have sufficient fuel at all times, and they are safe to operate as well reporting any issues they may raise.
- Informing office of potential delays.
- Delivering stock to clients on or before each deadline.
- Able to drive/use a piggyback machine.
Requirement:
- 5+ experience and has experience hauling sod (not required but preferred).
- Driver/Chofer with CDL A at a Nursery.
- Able to drive or quickly learn how to use a forklift and piggyback.
- Comfortable using GPS equipment.
- Ensuring that you are always fit to maneuver the truck.
- Compliance with all road and transport rules.
Job Type: Fulltime.
Salary: $18.00-$20.00/weekly. Pay will depend on experience.
