Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

- APP Coverage: 8 hours during offseason; 10 hours during peak season

- Dedicated Senior ER for geriatricpatients
- EMR: MEDHOST
- Duration: Ongoing locumscoverage
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of emergency medical conditions
- Provide leadership and supervision for APPs and ED staff during shifts
- Stabilize critically ill and injured patients, and coordinate admissions or transfers when necessary
- Collaborate with nursing staff and hospitalists to maintain efficient patient flow and ensure high‑quality care
- Accurately document all patient encounters using the MEDHOST EMR system
Requirements
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM required)
- Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current ACLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications
- Two or more years of recent emergency department experience preferred
