Your Role as a Glass Team Member:
As a Glass Team Member, you play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of glass units before they move to assembly and shipment. This position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of glass quality standards. You will be responsible for inspecting glass, identifying defects, documenting issues, and escalating non-conforming products to support overall product excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Glass Inspection & Quality Control
Inspect and verify that all glass units meet company quality standards prior to release to production.
Identify and document defects such as scratches, chips, seal failures, and contamination.
Utilize inspection tools and documentation systems accurately and efficiently.
Achieve inspection performance metrics and assist with root cause analysis for recurring defects.
🔹 Process Compliance & Team Support
Follow established inspection protocols and promptly escalate non-conforming products.
Communicate effectively with the Production Manager, Glass Team Lead, and Quality Assurance teams regarding glass-related issues.
Assist and support other glass inspection team members as needed.
Support other production lines when required.
🔹 Safety & Continuous Improvement
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized inspection area.
Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the production team.
What You Need to Succeed:
✔ Key Competencies:
Strong coordination and organizational skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and visual acuity.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
Effective communication skills across multiple departments.
✔ Qualifications:
Knowledge of glass types, coatings, and common defects.
Experience using inspection tools such as light tables, calipers, and defect charts.
Basic understanding of ERP systems or quality tracking tools (preferred).
