Vital Orthopedic & Spine Institute in is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Patient Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our practice. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring every patient has a smooth, positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. If you thrive in a fast-paced medical environment and love helping people, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Verify and send medical record requests
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information in EMR system
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, responding to patient inquiries in a timely manner
- Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations for orthopedic and spine procedures
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- 1+ years of front desk or patient coordinator experience in a medical or specialty practice
- Familiarity with orthopedic, spine, or musculoskeletal terminology is a plus
- HIPAA knowledge
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and general office software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first professional attitude
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
