Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Oldsmar, FL . Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• The client is seeking a highly experienced Solder Assembler to join our precision electronics manufacturing team.
• The successful candidate will be an expert in both surface ‑ mount technology (SMT) and through ‑ hole soldering, with a proven track record of removing, repairing, and replacing a wide variety of components — including bottom ‑ terminated parts such as QFNs, BGAs, and LGAs.
• The role needs hands ‑ on use of advanced rework equipment and the ability to verify workmanship using X ‑ ray inspection techniques.
• Perform high ‑ mix, low ‑ volume assembly of SMT and through ‑ hole components on complex printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Execute removal, replacement, and repair of bottom ‑ terminated components (QFNs, BGAs, LGAs) using hot ‑ air pencils, hot plates, and other rework tools.
• Conduct precise reflow, pre ‑ heat, and cooling cycles to meet component ‑ specific thermal profiles.
• Operate and maintain X ‑ ray inspection equipment to evaluate solder joints on hidden pads and verify rework quality.
• Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure correct component placement and orientation.
• Perform in ‑ process quality checks (visual, AOI, X ‑ ray) and document results per quality system requirements.
• Troubleshoot solder ‑ related defects (tombstoning, voids, solder bridges) and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain ESD ‑ controlled environments; follow all safety and compliance procedures.
• Contribute to continuous ‑ improvement initiatives, suggesting tooling upgrades or process optimizations.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00/hr.

Hours: 4/10-2 nd Shift.

Length: Temp (12 months).

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in SMT/TH solder assembly and rework, in aerospace, defense, or high ‑ reliability electronics.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• IPC-WHMA-A-620.
• Able to read/write English.
