Analyst, Replenishment (Soma)

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring ideal inventory levels in all locations. Duties include managing the lifecycle of basic items from placing the vendor orders to the replenishing of the merchandise thru to the markdown. Review and resolve exceptions in a timely manner to maximize the sales in each location.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, manages and maintains replenishment for a basics business.
- Manages weekly Store/DTC/DC Replenishment Plans and in-stocks by utilizing exception reporting. Resolves exceptions in a timely manner by adjusting variables to meet store’s needs and inventory plan objectives.
- Manages SKU exceptions proactively.
- Creates and manages the re-ordering process of basic items.
- Creates and transmits approved purchase orders.
- Creates and communicates future order projections with Planning and Production.
- Manages location level inventory strategies to support assortment strategy.
- Creates size profiles by style/color/location.
- Maintains strong working relationships and communications with Merchants, Planning, Production and Store Operations.
- Serves as primary communication liaison for store management regarding merchandise concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in business, finance, operations, related field or equivalent education and work experience
- 2-4 years of experience in allocation, demand forecasting or analytical experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills: strong aptitude with numbers, retail math skills, understanding of forecasting methodology.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively with flexibility to shift focus/priorities at a moment’s notice.
- Ability to work both independently and build collaborative partnerships cross-functionally.
- Ability to make decisions with limited information but also able to synthesize large quantities of data to drive business decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent computer skills with a strong emphasis in Excel.
