Position Overview

As a Routing Coordinator , you will be responsible for building, organizing, and optimizing daily transportation schedules across multiple drivers, vehicles, and appointment locations.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving puzzles, balancing logistics, and creating efficient transportation routes while maintaining excellent communication with drivers, dispatchers, facilities, and internal team members.

What You'll Do

Route Planning & Scheduling

• Create and optimize daily transportation routes

• Coordinate patient pickups, drop-offs, and appointment schedules

• Maximize route efficiency while minimizing travel time

• Ensure transportation resources are utilized effectively

• Adjust routes in real-time as schedule changes occur

Logistics Coordination

• Work closely with dispatchers and transportation teams

• Monitor route performance throughout the day

• Identify scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve issues

• Balance driver availability with transportation demand

• Coordinate special transportation requests and schedule modifications

Communication & Support

• Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch personnel, and leadership teams

• Provide routing updates and schedule adjustments as needed

• Assist with transportation planning for healthcare facilities and partner organizations

• Help ensure a positive experience for patients and healthcare partners

Administrative & Technology Responsibilities

• Utilize routing software, scheduling platforms, and internal systems

• Maintain accurate transportation records and route documentation

• Enter and update trip information and schedule changes

• Generate reports and support operational planning initiatives
