Junior Estimator – Commercial Drywall Subcontractor (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

I am currently partnered with a well-established commercial drywall subcontractor in the Fort Lauderdale area that is looking to bring on a Junior Estimator to support their growing preconstruction team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their estimating career to join a stable company with a strong pipeline of work and clear long-term growth potential.

Position Overview:

The Junior Estimator will support the estimating team in preparing accurate bids and takeoffs specifically within the commercial drywall scope. This role will work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and field teams to help ensure competitive and well-coordinated project pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing quantity takeoffs for drywall, metal framing, and related scopes
• Support the preparation of detailed estimates and proposals for commercial drywall packages
• Help gather and analyze material and vendor pricing specific to drywall systems
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents with a focus on interior scopes
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure full scope coverage and accuracy
• Assist in maintaining bid schedules and estimating documentation

Key Requirements:

• 2 to 7 years of experience specifically with a commercial drywall subcontractor
• Hands-on exposure to drywall estimating, takeoffs, or project support within drywall scopes
• Working knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, and interior finishes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to continue developing within estimating
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, or similar software is a plus

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary Range: $75,000 to $110,000 base depending on experience
