Position Overview

A premier inpatient rehabilitation hospital is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team. This role focuses on supporting adult patients recovering from complex medical conditions, including:

• Polytrauma
• Spinal cord injuries
• Acquired brain injuries
• Other neurological and medically complex diagnoses

You’ll play a critical role in helping patients and families navigate recovery, adjustment, and long-term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological assessment and treatment in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Deliver interventions related to adjustment to disability, coping, and pain management
• Conduct neurobehavioral and cognitive assessments to support diagnosis and discharge planning
• Provide family counseling and education
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Contribute to care across the continuum, including potential outpatient involvement

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited Clinical Psychology program
• Completion of an APA-accredited internship
• Licensed in Florida or license-eligible
• Experience or training in rehabilitation psychology, health psychology, or behavioral medicine
• Postdoctoral experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred
